Mat 5v37 Stand w Israel

Mat 5v37 | Ted Cruz Booed Off Stage At Middle East Christian Conference
Mat 5:37 KJV  But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
“If you will not stand with Israel and the Jews,” he said. “Then I will not stand with you. Good night, and God bless.” And with that, he walked off the stage.

Ted Cruz Booed Off Stage At Middle East Christian Conference | The Daily Caller http://bit.ly/1BviBpj | [VIDEO] 9:55 PM 09/10/2014
Sen. Ted Cruz was booed offstage at a conference for Middle Eastern Christians Wednesday night after saying that “Christians have no greater ally than Israel.”
Cruz, the keynote speaker at the sold-out D.C. dinner gala for the recently-founded non-profit In Defense of Christians, began by saying that “tonight, we are all united in defense of Christians. Tonight, we are all united in defense of Jews. Tonight, we are all united in defense of people of good faith, who are standing together against those who would persecute and murder those who dare disagree with their religious teachings.”
Cruz was not reading from a teleprompter, nor did he appear to be reading from notes.
“Religious bigotry is a cancer with many manifestations,” he continued. “ISIS, al-Qaida, Hezbollah, Hamas, state sponsors like Syria and Iran, are all engaged in a vicious genocidal campaign to destroy religious minorities in the Middle East. Sometimes we are told not to loop these groups together, that we have to understand their so called nuances and differences. But we shouldn’t try to parse different manifestations of evil that are on a murderous rampage through the region. Hate is hate, and murder is murder. Our purpose here tonight is to highlight a terrible injustice, a humanitarian crisis.”
“Christians have no greater ally than Israel,” he said, at which point members of the crowd began to yell “stop it” and booed him.
EWTN News Nightly’s Jason Calvi caught the moment on video. Watch: [Link at above linked source.]
“Those who hate Israel hate America,” he continued, as the boos and calls for him to leave the stage got louder. “Those who hate Jews hate Christians. If those in this room will not recognize that, then my heart weeps. If you hate the Jewish people you are not reflecting the teachings of Christ. And the very same people who persecute and murder Christians right now, who crucify Christians, who behead children, are the very same people who target Jews for their faith, for the same reason.”
The cries of “stop it, stop it, enough,” and booing continued. “Out, out, leave the stage!” At this point IDC’s president, Toufic Baaklini, came out to the stage to ask for the crowd to listen to Cruz, but Cruz had already had enough.
“If you will not stand with Israel and the Jews,” he said. “Then I will not stand with you. Good night, and God bless.” And with that, he walked off the stage.
Many Christians in the Middle East take issue with Israeli military policy, which has made life for Palestinian Christians in their homeland very difficult, and driven many from their homes. “Israel’s policies have led to demographic pressure that’s made the West Bank and Gaza far more Muslim than in 1948,” explained one Middle East analyst.
IDC’s Executive Director, Andrew Doran, then came out on stage, saying “For the love of God, we’re here to talk about Christians and we’re here to be united.”
Antiochian Orthodox Metropolitan Joseph Zahlawi, who leads the Antiochian Orthodox in North America, soon after led those present in the Lord’s Prayer.
[N.B. Interestingly, a prayer given to Jews by the rightful King of Israel, a Jew (Matt 6:9-13; John 1:49).]

2Co 1v18 vs Koranic duplicity

2Co 1:18 KJV  But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.
[American Thinker .com] Article: The Two Faces of Islam http://bit.ly/1BlOwbK | By Richard Butrick
One face is for Islam’s useful idiots the other is for Islam’s faithful.
The Koran is not arranged in chronological order. When it is arranged in chronological order it is clear that the Koran undergoes a serious transition after Muhammad’s first real triumph on the battlefield at Badr in 624. The period following that battle is called the Medina period of the prophet’s life. Conceptually this transition can be seen as a transition from the Old Koran to the New Koran. Unlike the transition from the Old to the New Testament, the transition from the “Old” Koran (pre-Medina) to the “New” Koran (Medina) is a transition to a more vengeful, demanding, supremacist God.
He who at Mecca is the admonisher and persuader, at Medina is the legislator and the warrior, who dictates obedience, and uses other weapons than the pen of the Poet and the Scribe. [link]
In practice, Quranic abrogation results in a known doctrinal footprint that subordinates the milder, more moderate verses of the Quran from the Meccan period of revelation, to the later and violent verses of the Medina period. Islamic law is substantially derived from the Medinan period. Where a conflict exists, anything said during the Medinan period overrules anything on the same subject in the Meccan. And anything said in the later part of the Medinan period either overrules or controls anything said in the earlier part. [link]
In an attempt to polish Islam's image, Muslim activists usually quote verses from the Quran that were written in the early days of the Islamic movement while Mohammed lived in Mecca. Those passages make Islam appear loving and harmless because they call for love, peace and patience. Such is a deception. The activists fail to tell gullible people that such verses, though still in the Quran, were nullified, abrogated, rendered void by later passages that incite killing, decapitations, maiming, terrorism and religious intolerance. The latter verses were penned while Mohammed’s headquarters was based in Medina. [The Quran's Doctrine of Abrogation -- Abdullah Al Araby]
A clear-cut example of this principle of abrogation is the oft quoted passage from the Old Koran, “Let there be no compulsion in religion.” (Q 5:99) which is abrogated by  chronologically later passages such as these:
Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."
Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"
Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
Quran (17:16) - "And when We wish to destroy a town, We send Our commandment to the people of it who lead easy lives, but they transgress therein; thus the word proves true against it, so We destroy it with utter destruction."
And on it goes. Apologists for Islam insist these passages refer to retaliatory measures to be taken when attacked.
Regarding these passages, it is to be noted that the Koran is the word of God and not a testament as are the Old and New Testaments and is thereby much less subject to “interpretation.” Moreover, it is axiomatic in Islam that Muhammad is the perfect male to be emulated as much as possible by all male Muslims. The post-Meccan Muhammad is a warrior, raider, conqueror, and subjugator of the non-Islamic world. The mission of all good Muslims is, correspondingly, the spread of Islam any means possible.
The great divide between the Old Koran, which is relatively tolerant and accepting of Jews and Christians, and the New Koran which views Jews and Christians as vermin worthy only extermination or servile groveling before their Muslim masters, enables the supremacist mandate in Islam to present one face to the West’s useful idiots and another to the faithful.
It has worked.
The Old Koran is used to piously claim that terrorism, suicide bombing, and persecution of religious minorities and disempowerment of women are “un-Islamic.”
What is the useful-idiot version of Islam? Here it is a culled version based on quotes from President Bush’s comments on Islam:
Islam is a faith that brings comfort to people. It inspires them to lead lives based on honesty, and justice, and compassion. It's a faith that has made brothers and sisters of every race. It's a faith based upon love, not hate. Mohammad's word has guided billions of believers across the centuries, and those believers built a culture of learning and literature and science. All the world continues to benefit from this faith and its achievements.
And here is President Obama solemnly declaring that Islam is based on the principles “of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”
But here are the real five pillars of Islam for the faithful:
I. Islam is to dominate over all other religions Q9:33, 61:9, 8:39
2. Muslims are to purify all of Arabia of its Pagans who can convert or be killed Q9:5 3. 3. Muslims are to fight and subjugate other non-Muslims and subdue and make them inferior second-class citizens (Dhimmis) to pay jizya (humiliation tax) to save their lives. Q9:29
4. Muslims are to have hatred and enmity forever for non-Muslims until they worship Allah alone Q60:4, they should fight those unbelievers close to them and let them find harshness in the Muslims Q9:123
5. Muslims must engage in this jihad (struggle) as this fighting is ordained for them even if they dislike it 2:216 and they are told they can overcome much greater enemies to a multiple of 10 times or more Q8:65
From George W. Bush to Hillary Clinton the “hijacked Islam” or “un-Islamic” meme has infected U.S. foreign policy and enabled creeping Sharia at home. It seems to have gotten to the point that exonerating Islam is the primary concern of U.S. foreign and defense policy with regard to terrorist activity from ISIS to Fort Hood to Boko Haram. The first order of business is to insure that “us folks” understand that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam. Just after the terrible treatment of Yazidis and the beheading of Foley, practically the first words out of President Obama's mouth were that “ISIL speaks for no religion.”
The Obama crew has been suckered, bamboozled, and taqiyyaed into believing the Islam of the Old Koran is the real Islam. But as the menacing face of the Islam of the New Koran turns fully into view it is becoming increasingly clear that it is the Obama team of useful idiots who have been hijacked. Even CNN has published a report showing that al Qaeda affiliated groups are gaining strength:
Last year's most lethal incidents were carried out by the Taliban in both Afghanistan and Pakistan, Nigeria's Boko Haram, al Qaeda in Iraq, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, and ISIL
That was in April, before ISIL showed its real power. And wait till we pull out of Afghanistan. It will be brutally clear that it is not ISIL but Obama and his crew of Islam’s useful idiots that “speak for no religion.”

2Ti 3v5 O distracts

2Ti 3:5 KJV  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
"Another president will take his place.
"His ideas, however, will remain. The idea that the government should be allowed to seize private property and “spread the wealth” for the good of all; the idea that mass equality is more important than individual liberty; the idea that all cultures deserve the same respect; the idea that white Christianity is to blame for the ills of other nations; the idea that America — America as it was founded — is the problem rather than the last, best hope of earth…
"These ideas are all untrue and the policies that arise from them are always disastrous. They destroy economies and lives at home and leave lesser nations and worse cultures to their horrifying fates without the hope and protection of a great and free people. Obama, like the song says, is “only for now.” But those ideas — his legacy and the legacy of his leftist ilk — are the deathless enemies of freedom. They must be engaged and defeated anew in every generation. Obama is pretty much yesterday. The hard work of restoring our country and the world still lies ahead."
-   Excerpt from: Klavan On The Culture » The Distraction of Obama’s Character http://bit.ly/1rTK17o
Complete article:
Toward the end of the romantic comedy film The American President,  Michael Douglas’s President Shepherd tells the assembled press corps, “Being president of this country is entirely about character.” This 1995 movie was made as a way of rescuing the scurrilous character of Bill Clinton from accusations of womanizing. It’s a pleasant and entertaining film but this line of dialogue, like just about everything else in the picture, is untrue.
Being president of this country is somewhat about character — everything in life is — but it is also, very much, about ideas.
There have been times over this past summer when I have felt I was living in Night of Camp David. Most people probably don’t remember that old thriller but it was by a once-famous bestselling novelist named Fletcher Knebel. It dealt with a senator who began to suspect the commander-in-chief was insane and couldn’t get anyone to believe him. Watching Obama’s narcissistic personality disorder rise to the surface as, one after another, his policies have imploded has given me that Knebellian sense of anxiety.
One of the ugliest summer moments — representative of so many others — was that grinning Martha’s Vineyard golf game the commander-in-chief played after his apparently solemn reaction to the Muslim beheading of American reporter James Foley. After taking some heat for the PR gaffe, the president remarked ruefully, “I should’ve anticipated the optics.” Yes, he probably should’ve at least pretended to give a damn for a couple of more hours.
On the right, the president’s actions are interpreted in various ways. There are those who think Obama is everything from an Islamist mole to merely an Alinksyite Communist and that his intention is to destroy a country he despises, which just happens to be the same one he leads. More plausibly, my friend and colleague Bill Whittle has just released an absolutely brutal video called “President Coward,” and while the title speaks for itself, it’s worth watching all the way through for the evidence Bill expertly presents.
My own feeling is that Obama is a hapless putz who genuinely believed his leftist ideas would make the world a better place and has gone into deep denial at the disaster he’s helped create here and around the globe.
But the larger point is: it doesn’t matter as much as all that. The character of the man the media and the rest of the left greeted as, to use Barbara Walters’ term, “the next messiah,” is of deep human interest of course. But one day in the not too distant future, he will be gone from the world stage. Another president will take his place.
His ideas, however, will remain.
These ideas are all untrue and the policies that arise from them are always disastrous. The hard work of restoring our country and the world still lies ahead.

Rom 5:1 Put on peace

Push aside anxiety; Put on peace.
Rom 5:1 KJV Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Peace is a possession of those that truly believe, but it is not always manifest either to ourselves or to others.
Col 3:9-10 KJV  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  (10)  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Initial reception of the peace of God is part of conversion, part of being born again.  Conversion is similar to taking off an old garment and putting on a new one.
Eph 4:22-24 KJV  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  (23)  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  (24)  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Despite the identical translation, the Greek words for "put off" are different in the Colossians and Ephesians passages.  Here it means "push aside", not "take off".  We have taken off old man, crucified him actually (Romans 6.6).  It is only now necessary to brush aside the bad memories and habits that he left behind.  Putting on the new man is a renewal of the commitment made at conversion. It is affirming that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.  It is a doing of the "first works" (Rev 2.5). It fully reconnects the believer to the benefits of his irrevocable calling.in Christ Jesus.  It enables his walking in pre-ordained good works (Eph 2.10).  Truly good works are those that take place when we are serving in our spirit (Rom 1.9), living fully in Christ Jesus (Rom 8.2).
Eph 6:11 KJV  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Rom 13:12 KJV  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Rom 13:14 KJV  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
The above three verses deepen our understanding of putting on the "new man".  However, the putting on begins with the inner experience of that peace with God which is our permanent possession in Christ Jesus.
Phil 4:6-7 KJV  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  (7)  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Push aside anxiety.  Put on peace.  The prior passages deepen our understanding.  Philippians presents specifics.
Act 4:31-32 KJV  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.  (32)  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
The peace of God is particularly manifest in the assembly of the born again.  Our prayer effectively unites our spirits with His spirit. Heart and soul follow.
