Eph 2:8-10 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(9) Not of works, lest any man
should boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in
them.
Not of works! No boasting!
Because He first loved us

___ Glad you noticed. Salvation is on the basis of unmerited favor through the
instrument of justifying faith. Good works are pre-ordained for the begotten
again to walk in as a temporal portion of the salvation obtained by faith alone
apart from works. Through these pre-ordained good works the begotten again are
being protected from this present evil world. These pre-ordained good works are
a sword of Truth in the hand of the spiritually equipped true believer, doing
damage to the schemes of the prince of darkness.
{{_ The bible says "God loves those that
love Him AND follow His commands/will." }}
___ Not sure what passage or assemblage of
passages you are referring to. As far as I know, His love is never said to be
the result of our love or our obedience or our good intentions. It is
consistently stated that the reverse is true. It is His special love toward
those who are in Christ Jesus on the basis of unmerited favor through the
instrument of justifying faith in the Cross and resurrection of our Lord that
results in our love toward Him and our walking in pre-ordained good works.

Two.
Trust in the personal salvation received on the basis of unmerited favor
through justifying faith. A faith freely available to all through the
crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Believers are instructed
to "cast all their care upon Him" and to "be careful for
nothing" (1Pe 5:7 KJV Casting all
your care upon him; for he careth for you. | Php 4:6-7 KJV Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto
God. (7)
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.)
