GenToRev In His Image verses

_ A word search for “image” led to meditations on a number of the results. The verses below encompass the results from Genesis and the New Testament. I pray that some may find good instruction from their consideration.
_ The passage from Matthew 5 is included because it combines with part of the covenant made with man after the flood (Gen 9.6) to emphasize two often neglected biblical truths:
_ One. Murder is blasphemy, the destruction of a creature made in the image of the Creator. Those placed in authority by Providence have a special responsibility to punish with death those found guilty of the deliberate killing of a human being without proper authority.
_ Two. It follows that, as our Lord carefully instructs us, that insulting a creature made in the image of the Creator is blasphemous. .Behavior may be properly judged in a proper manner in appropriate circumstances. But the person is to be judged by the Creator, and not by the creature.
_ Lord willing, I will be posting more about these verses in the near future.
