Gathering Non-Predjudice

For much of the mainstream media "gathering non-predjudice" seems to be an obvious corollary of the "self-evident truths" famously proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence.

All gatherings like "all men"

(The Nation's founders actually meant "persons" but were too backward to realize it)

Were "created equal and endowed by the Creator with certain inalienable rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".

It follows that all gatherings have an inalienable right to be free from disrespect on the basis of artificial categories that all thoughtful persons now realize are outmoded and pernicious.

Such obsolete and deceptively contrived categories include:

. Spontaneous versus organized participation.

. The provision of free transportation, free (possibly loaner) flags and placards, free lunch, etc. or lack thereof.

. Citizen versus imported foreigner participation.

. The encouragement or discouragement of the gathering by the leaders of those in the vicinity with guns.

But, for some reason, it would seem that those who appear to be devoutly committed to the above principles -

Beleive, as a matter of principle, that it is okay to disrespect a gathering on account of its small relative size.

It was the wide media adherence to the above principles that worried many of us who followed recent accounts of gatherings in Beruit.

And that greatly depressed the Cave Persons Leaving Beruit.

But it now appears that the no-respect-Rodney-Dangerfield anti-Syrian gatherings have produced a gathering of magnificent size, out-sizing by far the pro-Syrian gathering.

And earning the respect of the mainstream media.

And also the respect of the (perhaps mainstream Western media influenced) current rulers of Lebanon.

We may now pause for thanksgiving, praise, and joy.

Before beseeching the Almighty to give strength and patience to those who still have a long hard road to travel.
